A Winter's Walk

The weather here continues to be cold - as in, fifteen to twenty degrees below seasonal - and winter is beginning to feel long. On the bright side, the days are noticeably longer now. The sun rises around the same time as Charlotte usually does, a little after 7 a.m., and it stays light past 6 p.m. Charlotte and I usually go out for a walk or to run errands in the late afternoon and it's nice to do so under bright skies. My favourite walk is in the Edmonton river valley. We're just a couple of blocks from trails that take us down into the valley and lead to one of the most beautiful spots in the city, with views of the High Level Bridge and the Alberta Legislature. One day this past week I brought the camera along so I could share some of the scenery...
